Huawei’s New Lite-Flagship, Huawei Nova 5T with Kirin 980 Processor Launched in Nepal: The Best Out There?

Huawei as we all know are in a pickle at the moment. The confrontations with Google had stirred up some trouble and for a while it looked like Huawei was done for good. But with the official launch of Mate 30 and a huge success of Huawei 9X and Nova 5 Series in china alone, it’s as if the whole confrontation was a walk in the park.

Well whatever it was, there’s good news for Huawei fans. Huawei has finally released the Nova 5T in Nepal. The Huawei Nova 5T price in Nepal is set at Rs. 53,900.

Last year’s Nova with its near flagship specifications at mid-range pricings was a major hit among many people. Will the same effect happen this time, we are yet to witness that. For now, let’s have a look at Nova 5T specifications.

Huawei Nova 5T Specs-Run Down

Starting with design, its similar to what most mid-range devices contain nowadays. It’s got a glass finish on the front and back and contains aluminium frames in the side. It stands at 6.26” with an IPS LCD Display at 1080p resolution. I was expecting an AMOLED panel; still the 1080p is great nonetheless. Instead of a notch there’s a punch hole display which does look nice on the device.

Under the hood, the Nova 5T has a Kirin 980 processor, which is currently the best in its department. The processor is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB Internal Storage. With this processor and storage, you have flagship processing capabilities in a mid-range phone.

The 3750mAh battery backs the processor and RAM. It does fall under the 4000mAh mark, but don’t let it bother you. Because it’ll still last you more than a day. Also, there’s a 22.5W fast charge which will get the phone charged in no time at all.

Moving on to the rear quad camera setup, the Nova 5T houses a 48MP wide, 16MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensor. The 48MP and 16MP lenses do sound pretty impressive. Considering how good they’ve been in other devices; the cameras shouldn’t be disappointing at all. The front has a 32MP selfie camera and I know Megapixels aren’t the only thing necessary for a better photo. But I’ll still bet that it has a really impressive selfie camera as well.

Huawei Nova 5T Price in Nepal: Rs. 53,900

The Huawei 5T on paper with all of its specification does feel powerful and complete. And I agree with the paper in most cases. The flagship processor, quad camera and front camera setup are undoubtedly the best aspects of the device. But there are some aspects which if changed could’ve made it a killer deal for me.

For instance the AMOLED display or an in-display fingerprint sensor. These maybe minor details but are slowly taking their places in their respective categories. And we expect to see these changes in an appreciated device like the Nova 5T. That’s all the change this device needs in my opinion.

Huawei Nova 5T Price in Nepal & Our Impression

Like I mentioned earlier, the Huawei Nova 5T price in Nepal is set Rs. 53,900. As for pricings, we predicted that it will be launched somewhere in between Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 55,000, and our prediction is correct. In this price range its major competitor is the Xiaomi’s Redmi K20 Pro.

In terms of camera, the Huawei Nova 5T has a quad-camera setup with a macro lens and has a higher front camera resolution. The sensors used in both the devices are the same, the Sony IMX586. Which of these phones provides the best quality, this is yet to been seen when we compare both the devices.
